The Circus Poster
& Charlie Chaplin will have to hold up production on „The
Circus“ for several weeks, whether he wants to
or not. Charlie‘s leading lady, Merna Kennedy, is ill in San
Diego, Cal., with diphtheria. The actress and her
mother were on their way from Hollywood to San Diego for
a pleasure jaunt when Merna became ill. Miss
Kennedy is on the road to recovery now, but it will be several
weeks before she‘s allowed to do any long distance
traveling. And Charlie still intends to finish up his film at the
Cosmopolitan studio here.
