      Caption:

As if to drown her soul in melody,

      She softly plays –

And from the past come wraiths, the burning loves,

      Of other days. .....

And as the music gently dies away,

      Too sad for tears,

She sees the vision of the might-have-been,

      The vanished years!

& Not just a publicity picture nor a search for

the Lost Chord. Jeanette Loff really can play the organ.

& It‘s all off again with Pola and Charlie.

Pola says she will never be Mrs. Chaplin, so that‘s

the end of that. This shocking truth was borne

in upon the public of Hollywood last week when both

Charlie and Pola attended a big hotel opening.

But Charlie was with Leonore Ulric while Pola was with

„Big Till“ Tilden and Manuel Alonzo, the tennis

players. „I realized five weeks ago that it was an impossibility,“

said Pola. „Charlie is lacking in all matrimonial

requirements, he is too temperamental. I‘m glad it‘s over

now. I can think of my work again.“

Leonore Ulric laughed when she was asked

if she had matrimonial designs upon Charlie. „Not for me,“

she said briefly.

„To be installed in his new Beverly Hills home“

Editorial content. „Chaplin Installs Robert-Morton Organ“ (...)

„It may be news to many of your readers that Charlie

Chaplin is a clever musician, playing violin, piano and organ

with unusual skill.

The first intimation that many of Chaplin‘s friends and

followers knew of this musical talent was the placing

of an order for a Robert-Morton organ to be installed in his new

Beverly Hills home in the course of construction.“ (...)
