„Who‘s Your Tailor?“

A sartorial time was had by all when Max Linder visited

the Chaplin studio.

      „WHO‘S your tailor?“

That‘s what Charles Chaplin wanted to know the first time

he laid eyes on Max Linder, his fellow comedian, when

Max called at Charlie‘s Hollywood studio after an absence

in his native France for about three years.

„She will recover from her injuries“

Editorial content. „Edna Purviance‘s Beauty

      Marred in Automobile Crash

LOS ANGELES, CAL, April 13. – The film world may lose

Edna Purviance, noted screen actress and leading

woman for Charlie Chaplin. Miss Purviance suffered a deep

cut on the right side of her face, from the point of

the chin to the top of the ear, in an automobile accident

here today.

Physicians attending her said tonight that she will recover

from her injuries, but doubt was expressed as to

whether medical science will be successful in healing her

cheek so as not to leave a scar.

The accident occurred while Miss Purviance was returning

from Santa Barbara with C. M. Greer of New York,

wealthy horseman and polo player. Greed was driving the

machine. At Wilshire and Harvard boulevards

a smaller machine, occupied by two negroes, dashed out

of a side driveway and plunged at full speed into

the Greer machine. The big machine was turned completely

around several times, and Miss Purviance was

hurled through the windshield. Greer was only slightly

injured.“
