„Chaplin will come East for the premiere“

For Chaplin Film
United Artists will give Modern Times, Charlie
Chaplin picture, a day and date premiere in New York and
London Christmas week or the week following, said
Arthur W. Kelly, distribution head, upon his return in New York
yesterday from Hollywood. On Broadway the picture, which
is being released in seven reels, will play under a continuous
policy, he stated. Chaplin will come East for the premiere.
Chaplin is now recording Modern Times, in which he does
not talk and there is but little dialogue from members of his
supporting cast, Kelly said. He plans to rest a month following completion of work on Modern Times, and then produce
a feature starring Paulette Goddard.“ (...)
