HOLLYWOOD, Nov. 8. – Past experience would indicate that
Charlie Chaplin is a much better wooer than husband.
He is ardent in his wooing but cools considerably after the
marriage ceremony.
Such, at least, was the experience of Lita Grey
Chaplin after her marriage in Mexico to the screen‘s outstanding
comedian.“ (...)
„With the exception of a reported romance in Europe
about a year ago, the Lita Grey episode marked
an end to Chaplin‘s serious romances until he met Paulette
Goddard last July. Hollywood now is wondering how
long a third marriage would last. Charlie is well liked here and
everyone is hoping for the best if he weds the platinum
blond divorcee, as everyone believes he will.
THE END.“
