SIXTY or more women guests come each morning to Sardi‘s famous restaurant in Hollywood, are given beautiful
corsages at the door and are ushered in to enjoy a delicious
breakfast. Then they sit back to relax and take part
in a fun-filled program. This is the program you hear at 9:30 A. M.,
PWT and 11:30 A. M., EWT, every Monday through
Friday, over the Blue Network. (...)
The show has no script. It‘s all informal and gay. Tom
Breneman, the Master of Ceremonies, who originated
the idea, takes the mike and wanders around the room, letting
his and his guests‘ remarks fall where they may.

Charlie Chaplin dined at Sardi‘s in Hollywood the other
evening with Paulette Goddard, King Vidor and others,
making up their chummy little party. Archie Mayo‘s wife celebrated
her birthday at the same place, with friend hubby taking
part in the festivities. Others whom we noticed at different times
during the week were Marlene Dietrich and Josef Von
Sternberg, dining and saying hello to friends. (...)
