CHAS. CHAPLIN STATUETTES ... 49c
These figures are perfectly modeled, durable and
carefully colored. They show Chaplin in one of his
characteristic attitudes, with his famous comical smirk
on his face, the sack-bagging trousers, the Coster
Derby, the ever-present cane and the inimitable shoes.
If you have a friend who cannot smile, send
him one. (...)

„So absurdly like Charlie Chaplin“
Editorial content. „One of the pictures in the movie record
of Sir Douglas Mawson‘s great exploration in the
antarctic, now on exhibition at the Lyric, shows the interior
of the ice-bound hut the men built where spent
the long Winter sheltered from the fearful cold. (...) The penguins
make many new friends in each audience and are
so absurdly like Charlie Chaplin in their gait and their comic
style that they alone are worth going to see.“
