Charlie Chaplin as a cutter is no mean psychologist
of the females. Half the girls noticed that he didn‘t
even hold Merna Kennedy‘s hand in „The Circus.“ And they‘re
busy trying to dope whether the little tramp felt platonic
or paternal toward the hungry equestrienne.
