PRINCE HAS FIRST VIEW OF
CHAPLIN‘S NEW FILM
The Prince of Wales saw a private exhibition of Charles
Chaplin‘s latest film, „The Circus,“ at York House last
night. The film arrived from America only a few days ago, and
this was its first „screening“ in this country. A room at
York House had been specially equipped with a screen and
projector for the exhibition. The film was accompanied
by the Astoria Orchestra, under the direction of Mr. Fred Kitchen.
„The Circus“ is to be shown in London shortly, but
will not be available for general exhibition until next October.
