Editorial content. „RECENT FIRE AT CHAPLIN
STUDIO SERIOUS AFFAIR
The recent fire at the Charlie Chaplin studio in Hollywood has proved to be a much more serious affair from
a production standpoint than was first supposed.
The fire completely gutted the interior stage, destroying
all paraphernalia, breaking the thousands of panes
of glass which constituted the sidewalls and roof of this
structure; circus settings, representing the back
stage atmosphere of a traveling circus.
Work on the rebuilding of the stage is progressing rapidly,
but the work of replacing the ,props‘ and circus
paraphernalia is tedious on account of the fact that these
articles, including the costumes, have already been
identified in the picture and must be accurately duplicated.“
