„Chaplin Still Silent.
The most important item on the revamped United Artists‘
schedule will be eagerly looked for Production No. 5,
from Charles Chaplin‘s studio, with Chaplin and Paulette
Goddard in the leading roles. The exterior filming
of the untitled Chaplin comedy has been finished at San Pedro,
but there remains some studio work still to be done.
The details of the picture are still being carefully guarded
and only the fact that Chaplin will remain silent on the
screen has been allowed to leak out.“
Modern Times world premiere will be in New York
Feb. 5, 1936 at the Rivoli Theatre.
Rivoli Theatre, Broadway at 49th Street, New York.
