PAULETTE GODDARD AND HAROLD LLOYD
The screen‘s two veteran comedians, Chaplin and Lloyd,
release their latest pictures almost simultaneously,
Chaplin after an absence of five years and Lloyd after a mere
year and a half. Paulette Goddard plays the waif in
Chaplin‘s „Modern Times,“ which opens with all the flourish
of a grand premiere Wednesday night at the Chinese.
Lloyd‘s picture, „The Milky Way,“ in which he plays a milkman
who accidentally becomes a prize-fight champ, is current
at the Paramount.
