a mistake in embracing all the new-fangled ideas that

grace today‘s screen. They regard the success of Charles

Chaplin‘s Modern Times, produced by a man who

continues to live in the cinema‘s pioneer era, and speculate

compelled to go to the recording rooms of the United Artists

studio, where the musicians were unfamiliar with his
